Before you go
Getting ready for your trip...
- Check that your passport is valid - and remember to pack it with your hand luggage!
- Check if you need some travel Visa in your destinations countries.

- Check what vaccinations you need at least 6 weeks before you go.

- Pack a First aid kit and any usual medication - it is advisable to take enough to last longer than the planned trip in case of delay.

- Get an EHIC (European Health Insurance Card) form for each family member. If you are visiting a country of the European Union, the EHIC is proof that you are entitled to the reciprocal health agreements existing between a Nordic country and that country.

- Take a photocopy of each EHIC, as if you require treatment, the original form will be held by the hospital/treating Doctor.
- Confirm your travel tickets and any vouchers (e.g. accommodation).
- Get a good guidebook and find out more about your destination - local laws and customs.

- Leave a copy of your itinerary, contact details such as an email address, and photocopies of your passport, insurance policy together with a list of travellers cheques and travel ticket details with family or friends.
Before leaving your home...
- Lock all the doors and windows
- Turn off water at mains
- Ask neighbours to keep an eye on your home and make sure they have emergency contact number for you or email address
- Leave a spare key with family or friends
- Place some lights inside your home on variable timing devices

Claims advice
When making a claim please ensure that all relevant parts of the claims form are completed and can be clearly read. Please also ensure that all the correct supporting documentation is firmly attached. This will ensure the quickest possible handling of your claim.
Supporting documentation required:
- A Police report
- A report from the transport company
- Receipts
- Any warranty certificate
- Any other documents that can support your claim
